Over David

David finished his bachelor’s in Psychobiology in 2023 and moved on to study the track Physiology of Synapses and Networks of the Biomedical Sciences master at the University of Amsterdam. In his internships, David worked in the labs of Helmut Kessels, Harold MacGillavry, Corette Wierenga and Maarten Kole. After his masters and with his passion, David is starting his PhD project about neuron-glia communication in psychiatry. Using state of the art electrophysiology and live-cell imaging tools, he will characterize how neuron and microglia physiology changes in organotypic slice cultures.

In his spare time, David loves to play boardgames, guitar, and listens to rock music.
