The Gazzola group investigates the brain mechanisms that influence our social behavior and motivate us to help others. We have a close collaborative relationship with the Keysers group and jointly established the social brain lab.
In the current project, we aim to investigate how human behavior is guided by environmental cues. Our research tool includes methods for the behavioral task (eg. Pavlovian to Instrumental Transfer task) and brain stimulation (eg. TMS). Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is a non-invasive and painless method that can help produce a motor-evoked potential (MEP) to measure brain activity.
For this, we are looking for an MSc student who is interested in cognitive neuroscience and be available full-time for at least 3-6 months. You will assist in creating a new behavioral experimental paradigm, collecting behavior and MEP data, performing the TMS stimuli, analyzing the data, and finalizing a presentation on the experiment.
Requirements:
Strong interest in the field of psychology or neuroscience, Flexibility in terms of availability and scheduling
