Research

My personal interest in neuroscience relates to the diverse role of dopamine on neuroplasticity, motivation, behavior and cognition. In particular, I am interested in the neuromodulatory effects of dopamine on behavior in both healthy and pathological states. A focus of my postdoctoral project will be on the relationship between real-time dopamine signals and (ab-)normal behavior within a brain region known as the striatum.

I completed my B.Sc. in Neuroscience at the University of Western Australia. I then continued my studies by pursuing a research-intensive Honour’s degree at the Rodger Laboratory, which solidified my interest in neuroscience research. My doctoral training was performed in the Rodger Lab at UWA and the Vlachos Lab at the University of Freiburg.
