Over Myrte
Hi, my name is Myrte Strik and I am a postdoctoral research fellow at the Spinoza Centre for Neuroimaging researching the role of the cerebellum in people with multiple sclerosis (MS) using ultra-high field MRI (7 Tesla). Prior to commencing this role, I worked as a research fellow at the Melbourne Brain Centre Imaging Unit, University of Melbourne, Australia. I completed a jointly awarded PhD at the University of Melbourne (AU) and VU University Amsterdam (NL), researching motor disability in MS using advanced (network) imaging. I am particularly interested in neuroscience, ultra-high field (7 Tesla) MRI of human subjects (healthy and clinical) and functional and structural imaging analytics. My overarching research aim is to get a better understanding of the underlying neuronal mechanisms of diseases such as multiple sclerosis and visual snow syndrome using structural (diffusion, morphometry, quantitative MR) and functional (rest and task) imaging at 7T.
