The department of Regeneration of Sensorimotor systems is recruiting a post-doctoral fellow for the research line “Gene therapy”. The post-doctoral fellow will be involved in establishing a national network aiming at the application of novel non-invasive adeno-associated viral vectors (AAVs). In addition, the fellow will establish his/her own research line based on the use of non-invasive AAVs to study neuroregeneration and brain plasticity.

The position involves a fulltime temporary appointment for 3 year. Starting date: immediately


You have experience with molecular biological techniques, including plasmid cloning, cell culture, plasmid transfections and PCR. Experience with the production of adeno-associated viral vectors and working with laboratory animals would be an asset.


The project will be executed in the department of Regeneration of Sensorimotor Systems in close collaboration with a number of external partners at Dutch universities and KNAW institutes.


Depending on education and relevant work experience, the gross monthly salary based on full-time employment varies between € 2.790,- and € 4.402,- gross per month (salary scale 10, fulltime 38 hours), in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities (CAO NU), excluding 8% holiday allowance and 8.3% end-of-year bonus. There are excellent fringe benefits.
