Over Qingying

I am a PhD candidate working with the Dutch Brain Interface Initiative (DBI2), dedicated to unravelling the complex neural foundation of prosocial behavior, with a special focus on harm aversion—the intrinsic drive to avoid inflicting harm on others.

My main project is “Investigating neural circuits underlying harm aversion with Functional ultrasound imaging”.  Using advanced functional ultrasound imaging, my research investigates the large-scale neural circuits that underlie this behavior and provides an evolutionary insight into how harm avoidance manifests across both animals and humans.
